Sheri Louise Caldwell, born on January 19, 1961, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, peacefully departed this life on October 1, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. She was remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
With a remarkable career spanning over 30 years, Sheri dedicated herself to the College Mound Volunteer Fire Department, where her commitment to service made a lasting impact. Her spirit of selflessness was complemented by her deep love for her church and her faith. A 29-year member of Life Pointe Church, Sheri played an active role in church activities, proudly serving in the choir and participating in fundraising efforts, including her well-known delicious peanut brittle.
Sheri's voice was a true gift; she often sang specials at church, and one song that particularly resonated with her was "Feeling Fine." We fondly recall how God's anointing moved during her special. Today, we take comfort in envisioning her singing joyfully in the angel choir in Heaven.
Beyond her contributions to her community and church, Sheri found immense joy in spending quality time with her grandchildren. Even when unable to attend church in person, she remained connected by watching live services of Life Pointe Church on her phone. Her love for prayer further enriched her life, reflecting her nurturing and compassionate spirit. Solving puzzles brought her immense joy, as each piece fit together like a small triumph, challenging her mind while providing a sense of accomplishment and relaxation.
Sheri is survived by her daughter, Tammie Lynn Caldwell, Richard Allen Freeman, David Escobar; her daughter, Stephanie Louise McCullough, and her son-in-law, Jeremy McCollough; her son, Jerry Wayne Caldwell Jr., and daughter-in-law, Debbie; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Zachary Dumont, Allison Alanis, Gracie McCullough, Nathen Caldwell, Asher McCollough, Logan Caldwell, and Jerry Caldwell; and great-granddaughters, Mia and Margo. She is also survived by her sister, Vickie Wedge, brother-in-law, David Wedge, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sheri was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Verna Wonders; her sisters, Debra Adams and Katherine Anderson; and Jerry Caldwell Sr. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Sheri Louise Caldwell will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
