Robert Lee

Robert W. Lee, age 78, resident of Poetry, Texas passed away on March 28, 2023. Robert was born on September 10, 1944, in Bradshaw, West Virginia to parents William A. Lee and Bernice E. (Mills) Lee.

Robert, or better know to most as Bob at the age of 17 years old enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for three years. On September 18, 1964, he married the love of his life, Carole (Herron) Lee in San Antonio, Texas. Bob was a hard worker and dedicated 40 plus years over the road where he drove a truck to provide for his family. When Bob was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his dogs or riding his horses.

Bob is preceded in death by his Father William A Lee, Mother Bernice Lee Minear and stepfather Dawson Minear, father and mother-in-law Chester and Dorothy Herron.

Those left with cherished memories are his loving wife of 58 plus years; Carole A. Lee of Poetry, TX, sister Margaret A. Litterer and husband Chuck of Mansfield, TX, brother Michael R. Lee and wife Jaree of Riverside, OH, son Victor R. Lee and wife Debbie of Wills Point, TX. Bob also, leaves 3 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was loved by all and will truly be missed.
