Robert Frank Ahrens Sr.

Robert Frank Ahrens Sr., peacefully passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on February 19, 1940, in Dallas, Texas to parents Trammel and Edith Ahrens. He was a devoted family man, a skilled brick mason, and a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. 

Robert enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country with honor and distinction. His time in the military instilled in him a deep sense of duty and loyalty that he carried with him throughout his life. Outside of work and his military service, Robert had a passion for riding motorcycles. The wind in his hair and the freedom of the open road brought him great joy and tranquility. It was during these rides that he found solace and a sense of adventure. Robert’s warm personality and kind heart endeared him to all who knew him. He possessed an unwavering commitment to his family and friends, always eager to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom. Those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him will forever remember his infectious smile and genuine care for others.

In times of sorrow, it is important to remember the joy and love that our dear departed brought into our lives. Let us celebrate the remarkable life of Robert Frank Ahrens Sr., a hardworking man, loyal friend, and devoted family man. May his legacy live on in our hearts forever.

Robert's family and friends will gather to honor and remember him at the Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Terrell, TX. A visitation will be held on February 1, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This will be an opportunity for loved ones to share stories and memories of Robert with the family. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM on the same day. Robert will be laid to rest beside his wife Peggy at the College Mound Cemetery in Terrell, TX. The burial ceremony will approximately begin at 1:30 PM on February 1, 2024. As family and friends gather around his final resting place, they will bid farewell to Robert while holding onto the precious memories they shared with him.
