Patsy Ruth Mercer

Patsy Mercer, age 93, of Kemp, Texas passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM at Weaver Cemetery in Terrell, on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.

Patsy was born on February 24, 1928 in Terrell, Texas. On September 6, 1946 she married the love of her life, Hubert Harris Mercer in Hunt County. Patsy enjoyed spending time baking and would always share with those she loved.

She is survived by her brothers, John Wayne Metcalf and Herbert Metcalf; sons, Ronnie Mercer and wife, Debbie, Donnie Mercer and wife, Janese; daughter in law, Marty Mercer; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews and other beloved family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, John Calvin and Dora Lee Metcalf; spouse, Hurbert Harris Mercer, Jr.; son, David Vernon Mercer; daughter in law, Jeane Kay Mercer; son, Phillip Richard Mercer; and sisters, Barbara Meek, Nita Lewis and Nannie Metcalf; brother, Robert Metcalf.
