Lela Faye Sandidge

Funeral service for Lela Faye Williams Sandidge, age 86, of Terrell, TX will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Chapel in Terrell, TX. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, in Seagoville, TX. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service at 10:00A.M. Lela Faye Williams Sandidge entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

Lela was born September 21, 1935, in Frankston, TX. She was the third child of ten born to Richard and Lela Pearl Williams. As a young girl Lela spent many long days picking cotton alongside her parents and siblings. Lela married Herbert Sandidge and they lived in California for some time before moving to Dallas where they owned and ran a small electronics repair business for many years. After retirement they moved to Terrell where she enjoyed time with her sister, Etta. Lela was a believer in Jesus Christ and spent Sunday mornings watching several church services. She kept up with all the current events of the day via FOX News and could always talk the latest news events. Her favorite entertainment was Nascar Racing. She was a number one fan. Martin Truex was her favorite driver, and she never missed a race if it was on tv. Lela loved to go shopping with David, her brother, at Walmart and out to eat at Denny’s, What-A-Burger or Pop’s. Lela was small in stature, but big in heart and fierce in battle. She survived cancer three times. She was always energetic, full of life and fun to be with. Her love and presence will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Lela was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lela Williams, brothers; Doug Williams, and his wife Georgia, L.D. Williams, Richard Williams and wife Margie, Larry Williams and Jimmie Williams and wife Madelyn. Brother-in-law James Martin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister Etta, brothers, Edward, Oscar and wife Connie, David and wife Sandra. Many nieces, nephews, her dear next door neighbor Debbie and (son, Aaron,) with extended family and friends.
