Karen Elaine Lawson

Karen Elaine Lawson, age 63, of Dallas, TX passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Funeral services will be at Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home on Thursday, March 3, 2022, in Terrell, TX at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1:00PM to 2:00PM prior to the service at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home.

Karen was born on January 24, 1959, in Dallas, TX to Claude Sheats Jr. and Maria De Los Angelos Ibarra Sheats. She graduated from Spruce High School in Dallas, TX. She was very dedicated and a hard worker as a clerk at the DMU Unit at the Dallas County Sheriff's Department where she enjoyed working with her co-workers for 9 years.

She loved to travel and went on many of trips all over the United States, she had a huge collection of jewelry, loved listening to country music and she was very artistic.  

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years James Lawson, sister Carla Streeter, brothers: Jeorge Reyes, Oscar Ibarra, Edward Ibarra, Claude E. Sheats and Randy G. Sheats, stepchildren Jeff Lawson and Chad Lawson, 5 grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other beloved family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents Claude Sheats Jr. and  Maria De Los Angelos Ibarra Sheats, father-in-law Myron Lawson and mother-in-law Wanda Lawson, brother Chris Sheats and her grandparents Claude Sheats Sr. and Pearl Green Sheats.
