Josefa Tarango De Miranda, passed away on March 13, 2024, in Mesquite, TX. She was born on August 31, 1933, in Cienega De Ortiz, where her journey began as a caring and devoted soul who dedicated her life to her family.
Josefa's essence was defined by her role as a homemaker and her unwavering commitment to nurturing those around her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including knitting, embroidery, and offering prayers for the well-being of her family, friends, and community.
A proud moment in Josefa's life was her marriage to Celestino Miranda on September 29, 1951, in San Juan de la Veracruz, Satevo. Their love story became a cornerstone of their family's history and a testament to enduring love and partnership.
Josefa leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is reunited in peace with her beloved husband Celestino Miranda and her parents Blas Tarango and Eduviges Tarango Estrada. Also preceding her are her son Raul Miranda, sister Rosalia Aragon, sisters Guadalupe Fierro and Rosario Tarango, brother Blas Tarango.
She is survived by a large and loving family that cherishes her memory deeply. Her surviving family includes sister Rosa Elia Aragon of Chihuahua, Mexico; brother Jose Tarango of Chihuahua, Mexico; daughters Cristina Gandara of Dallas, TX, Patricia Cantu of Dallas, TX, Rosario Debolt of Dallas, TX, Angie Cruz of El Paso, TX, Leticia Rosado of Dallas, TX, Martha Sanchez of El Paso, TX, Laura Bonilla of Dallas, TX, and Griselda Miranda of Dallas, TX; sons Sergio Miranda of Dallas, TX, Alberto Miranda of Chihuahua, Mexico, Nancy Miranda of Chihuahua, Mexico, Carlos Miranda of Chihuahua, Mexico; along with numerous grandchildren spanning generations - 32 grandchildren in total along with 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
A Memorial Service to honor Josefa's life will be held on April 14 at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Terrell,TX.
