Diane Mitchell

Diane Mitchell, born in 1951 in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in Rockwall, Texas, on March 23, 2024. 

One of Diane's greatest joys was singing in church at Victory Baptist Church in Terrell. Her beautiful voice uplifted the spirits of all who heard her. She also had a passion for taking care of others and found great delight in playing Bingo. Diane's love knew no bounds when it came to her family; she adored them and especially cherished playing dress up with her grandchildren.

Her warm and loving personality shone through, in every interaction. Diane had a gift for making people laugh and spreading happiness wherever she went. Her kindness touched the lives of many around her, especially her husband, Richard, and her children and grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her loving spouse of 39 years, Richard Allen Mitchell, and their children - Jeannie Long (spouse - Billy), Robert Vern Tison IV, (spouse - Cathy), Richard Mitchell (spouse - Christy), LeAnne Tison, Misty Carr-Armstrong (spouse - Kenneth), and Adam David Mitchell (spouse - Araly). She is also survived by her sister Wanda Beeson, brother Ricky Tyner, along with 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

In honoring Diane's life, a visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Terrell from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, March 28 at the funeral home starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney, Texas.

Diane Mitchell will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May Diane rest in peace.
