David Keith "Charlie" Cooper

Charlie Cooper, born on March 27, 1964, in Wills Point, Texas, passed away on January 31, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, previous husband, father, and grandfather, whose life was marked by a deep appreciation/love for the outdoors and a knack to be befriend anyone he came in contact with.

Charlie dedicated much of his career as carpenter and property maintenance, with the last being for Steam Boat Shores in Emory, TX. With a everlasting love for the outdoors, Charlie found joy in fishing, hunting, and anything that involved being outside. These times not only brought him peace and happiness, but also created lifelong memories with whomever he shared them with.

Charlie is survived by his beloved sister, Carolyn James and her husband, Tim James of Edgewood, TX; his brother, Dale Corbett and wife Jodi Corbett of Wills Point, TX; his sister, Brenda Mitchell and husband Randy Mitchell of Terrell, TX; his previous wife of 40 years, Penny Cooper of Wills Point, TX; his son, Keith Cooper and wife Stacy Cooper of Wills Point, TX; and his granddaughter, Samantha Riggione and husband Brian Riggione of Virginia Beach, VA. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, cousins, and many various individuals whom were touched in some way by his various acts kindness and exceptional ability to tell a very animated story.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil (Tommy) Cooper and Betty Cooper of Wills Point, TX, and his brother, Randal Cooper of Rome, Georgia.

Charlie's many memories made will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be forever remembered as a person who never met a stranger, a helping hand to many when needed, love for the outdoors, an unmatchable story telling. Charlie's time on earth has ended, but the countless memories made remain a part of our lives and hearts.
