Clyde Milton Smith, II, known affectionately as "The Motorcycle Preacher," passed away on June 11, 2024, in Sunnyvale, Texas. He was born on June 26, 1949, in Brownwood, Texas.
Milton led a remarkable life filled with service and dedication. He served as a Pastor at First Assembly of God in Quinlan for 25 years, touching the lives of many in his community. His passion for spreading love and compassion led him to engage in missionary work in Russia, Poland, and Romania. He later transitioned to a different form of service by becoming a police officer in West Tawakani and served as a police chief in Hawk Cove.
Milton had a special gift for making others feel at ease. Beyond his professional endeavors, he found joy in various hobbies such as fishing, working on cars and driving them fast. He enjoyed the outdoors, and passionately supporting the Dallas Cowboys.
Clyde Milton Smith, II is survived by his son Trey Smith (spouse - Iris); brothers Roy Martin Smith and Phillip Michael Smith; grandchildren Micah LaRee Smith, Peyton Lael Smith, Clayton Moore Smith, and Zoe Camille Smith. He is preceded in death by his father Clyde Milton Smith, I; mother Johnnie Mae Harrington; and brother William Mark Smith.
Services to honor and celebrate Milton's life will be held at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Terrell. A visitation will take place on June 13 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on June 14 at 2:00 PM followed by interment at Highland Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM.
Milton will be deeply missed but his legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace.
