Carlon Joy McKnight

Carlon Joy McKnight was born on March 13, 1950 in Dallas, Texas and entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on October 24, 2024. Carlon was known as the most loving mom, Grammy, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She had a heart that knew no limits. She loved unconditionally and always saw the best in others. Carlon was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ, radiating His love and grace to all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a long-time member of Terrell Bible Church, Carlon served faithfully, touching many lives with her generous spirit and unwavering faith. Carlon grew up in Garland, Texas, where she attended Garland High School and then pursued her passion for beauty through a career in cosmetology, where her skill, warmth, and creativity flourished. Later, she met the love of her life, Rosie, and they made Terrell their home. Carlon and Rosie followed their adventurous spirit to the open road. The two shared a remarkable journey, traveling the country together as truck drivers, forming lifelong memories with every mile. Carlon was preceded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, James "Rosie" McKnight, and her parents, Olan and Odell Davis. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her son, Aaron Davis; grandson, Collin Davis; sister, Judy Prock and her husband Billy; brother, Ronnie Davis and his wife Keely; and nieces and nephews: Cindy Iverson and her husband Kirk, Rhonda Davis and her wife Patti, and Chad Prock and his wife Susan. Carlon also embraced her bonus McKnight family of sons, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous cousins and dear friends who were like family to her. Carlon’s life was a testament to the beauty of faith and family. Though she has departed from this world, her loving spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. Visitation will be held on October 27th from 3:00-5:00 at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home. Carlon’s Celebration Of Life will be held on Monday, October 28th at 11:00 am at Terrell Bible Church.
