Bobby Burnett Irion, a beloved member of the Athens, Texas community, passed away on July 16, 2024 surrounded by love and memories in his hometown. He was born on August 17, 1938, in Paris, Texas.
Bobby will be remembered for his love of being in the company of others and his passion for dancing. His contagious energy could light up any room and bring joy to those around him. He was a cherished member of the Eastern Hills Church of Christ in Athens, Texas. Bobby's dedication to his faith was truly remarkable and touched the lives of many. He was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys football and The Texas Rangers baseball teams, He would spend hours cheering on his favorite players, sharing in the victories and defeats with equal enthusiasm.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Cindy Eason and his second wife Vnett Hall. He is survived by his loving daughter Pattie and husband Joey Jaquez of Andrews, Texas, daughter Anna Davis, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Additionally, Bobby leaves behind numerous friends at Oak Wood Place Assisted Living in Athens, Texas whom he considered family.
His presence will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him. Bobby's legacy of warmth, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
May we remember Bobby Burnett Irion for his joyful spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for those around him. Rest in peace.
