Betty Grasham, age 72, of Scurry, TX passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 28, 2022. The family will have a Memorial Service at Life Pointe Church in Terrell, TX on February 5, 2022, at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Anders officiating.
Betty was born on August 27, 1949, in Dallas, TX to Milton Lee & Effie Birch. She married the love of her life, Steve Grasham on June 6, 1967. Betty dedicated 20 years of hard work at Mesquite Independent School District as a custodian before retiring. On the weekends you could find Betty going fishing or shopping all the yard sales she could find. She also enjoyed going on trips to the Casinos with her family. Betty was a devoted fan of Rod Stewart, so much so that she would travel from state to state to follow him on tour. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved to spend time with her family any chance she got.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Steve Grasham; daughters, Susan Wilson of Kemp, TX, and Tracie Richman and husband Rayford of Scurry, TX; 5 grandchildren: Brad Huckeba and wife, Shannon of Crandall, TX, Summer Templeton and Tom Harris of Mesquite, TX, Cody Huckeba and wife Christina of Scurry, TX, Jason Barberee and wife Bethany of Mesquite, TX and Madison Higgs and husband Dustin of Scurry, TX; 12 great grandchildren: Kylie, Jaylee, Landon, Stevii, Jaxon, Aubree, Bradley Jr., Emily, Carson, Kyndall, Jase and Laney along with numerous nieces & nephews and other extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. Betty will live forever in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Patricia Ann Leath, Linda Sue Nelson, Shirley Lee Bambico, brother, Harold Lee Birch and her dear great grandson, Jason Kyle Barberee Jr.
The family would also, love to thank The New Century Hospice nurses for the loving support they provided to Betty and their family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home – Terrell.
