Amando M Galan

Amando M Galan, age 71, of Terrell, TX passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Funeral services will be held at Terrell First Assembly on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Terrell, TX. Visitation will be at the Galan Family residence on Friday, March 4, 2022, to Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Amando was the first from his family to move to the United States and eventually the rest of his family moved as well. Amando married the love of his life, Paula in 1985 and have been married for 37 years. He was a hard worker and loved working on antiques. Amando was a great man of faith and loved the Lord. Monday thru Friday after work you could find him at the church. Every Sunday he loved going to church. Anytime the doors were open on the church Amando would be there. On the weekends he would pick up all the family children and go for a road trip to the lake, out to eat or anywhere he thought they might all have a good time. Amando was the kind of man that would do anything for anyone, he always put others before himself. He loved people and cared for them no matter the circumstances. His children describe his as the perfect father who always had a smile on his face. They cannot recall one time that he raised his voice, got mad or upset with anyone. He truly was the most genuine person. He loved his mother dearly and when she passed in 2020 it nearly shattered his heart.

Amando is preceded in death by his parents Porfirio and Ninfa Galan and sister Lupita Galan.

Those left with cherished memories are his loving wife, Paula Galan; children Kevin Galan and Ruby Galan; siblings: Eva Silvetti and husband Gabriel Jimenez, Orlando Galan, Porfirio Galan and wife Antonia Santiago, Gerardo Galan and wife Yolanda, Zoila Galan and husband Rafael Castañeda, Enrique Galan and wife Beatrice; grandchildren: Aaden Calix, Marlon Calix, Dominic Galan and Mathan Calix along with numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family and friends who will miss him dearly.
